MUSIC PARENTS
(Updated 10/18/2021)
(Updated 10/18/2021)
Very reliable sources are informing that NYSSMA will be requiring Covid-19 vaccination for all participants in Senior High Area All State (SH AAS), which will likely apply to all NYSSMA music competitions and festivals forthcoming. While NYSSMA has not yet posted official vaccine requirements on their website, we must take action now before it's too late. Contact your county chapter immediately and tell them NO VACCINE REQUIREMENT for our kids.

Dear NYSSMA State Chairperson,
It has come to my attention of the upcoming vaccination guidelines that NYSSMA has put in place for Area All State participating students. Before I go any further, will it be a requirement for any person entering the building to show proof of covid-19 vaccination (teachers, spectators, custodians, postal workers (who have an exemption currently), contractors)? As a concerned parent, I would like to share some information regarding these guidelines.
2 The covid-19 vaccine has serious safety concerns.
The students enrolled in NYSSMA have worked extremely hard to get to this point. Knowing that the vaccinated can still contract and spread the virus and that there are serious safety concerns about the vaccine itself, it should not be mandated for all to attend. It is unethical and discriminatory to impose a vaccine mandate upon all students. This is absolute bullying! Students are not required to have the covid vaccine to attend school or participate in band and chorus classes. Senior High Area All State (SH AAS) is an extension of those school programs. If we consider all of the facts and not just those being thrown at us by the mainstream media, then the Board of Directors for NYSSMA will rethink the vaccination policy.
Thank you,
It has come to my attention of the upcoming vaccination guidelines that NYSSMA has put in place for Area All State participating students. Before I go any further, will it be a requirement for any person entering the building to show proof of covid-19 vaccination (teachers, spectators, custodians, postal workers (who have an exemption currently), contractors)? As a concerned parent, I would like to share some information regarding these guidelines.
- Vaccinated individuals still carry and transmit the virus.
- Dr. Robert Malone is an internationally recognized doctor and scientist who assisted with inventing mRNA vaccines. He has stated, “The idea that if you have a workplace where everybody is vaccinated, you’re not going to have virus spread is totally false and a lie. Consider the scientific fact that vaccinated people have less symptoms than the unvaccinated, but can still easily spread disease.”
- Jen Psaki and the CDC have openly stated that those vaccinated can still contract and spread covid-19.
- Israel has one of the world’s highest covid-19 vaccination levels (primarily with Pfizer vaccine) and almost 60% of hospitalized for covid were fully vaccinated. Ran Balicer the CIO of Clalit Health Services, Israel’s largest HMO has stated, “That is a very clear warning sign for the rest of the world.”
- A paper published on 9/30 in Eurosurveillance showed “Covid-19 spread rapidly by a fully vaccinated patient to fully vaccinated staff, patients, and family members, despite a 96%vaccination rate and use of PPE.” 5 patients died and 9 had severe cases.
- Reuters reported that six months after receiving the second dose of Pfizer’s two-shot vaccine, many recipients no longer have vaccine-induced antibodies that can immediately neutralize variants.
2 The covid-19 vaccine has serious safety concerns.
- Dr. Peter McCullough, a senior Professor of Internal Medicine at Texas A&M University and a trained Epidemiologist has called for a halt to the vaccine for those under 30 citing safety concerns and “no clinical benefit.”
- In June, 2021, the FDA added a warning to both the Pfizer and Moderna covid-19 vaccines regarding risk of heart inflammation.
- More recently on 10/10/21 Iceland was added to the list of countries (Finland, Sweden, and Denmark) to pause the Moderna covid-19 vaccine due to increased heart issues (myocarditis and pericarditis).
- On 5/20/21 a study released by Ogata, et al. found the spike protein from the mRNA covid vaccine is present systematically in the blood from day 1 of the shot and not localized to the injection site. This could explain why the side-effects that are potentially connected to the spike protein can occur throughout the body and are not localized to the injection site.
- According to an article on Sharyl Attkinsson’s webpage, on 5/24/21 57 health experts from 17 countries have signed an endorsement urging “The cov-19 vaccine to be stopped unless new safety mechanisms are immediately implemented.”
- The CDC withdrew the swine flu vaccine after Guillain-Barre syndrome (paralysis, often followed by death) resulted in 53 deaths. As of July 9, 2021, there have been 10,991 covid-19 vaccine-related deaths reported to the CDC, yet this vaccine is still being used. https://www.openvaers.com/covid-data.
Thank you,
Other Points To Mention:
1.) According to ScienceDirect-Toxicology Reports, Volume 8, 2021, pages 1665-1684, for every one death caused by Covid there are five deaths caused by the vaccines in the over age 65 cohort. If there are more deaths from vaccines than from Covid in the over age 65 cohort, then we should NOT be mandating these vaccines for our children when they are at nearly zero risk from Covid compared to the over age 65 cohort.
2.) According to a study in CDC Weekly, Aug. 6, 2021, 70(31); 1059-1062, "Among the 469 cases in Massachusetts residents, 346 (74%) occurred in persons who were fully vaccinated." As a result of this study "CDC released recommendations that all persons, including those who are fully vaccinated, should wear masks in indoor public settings in areas where COVID-19 transmission is high or substantial." It is discrimination to ban unvaccinated students from NYSSMA events when both vaccinated and unvaccinated students spread the virus. It is bullying to force vaccinations on students in order for them to participate in NYSSMA events.
3.) According to the MedRxiv published preprint of Oct. 5, 2021 called "No Significant Difference in Viral Load Between Vaccinated and Unvaccinated, Asymptomatic and Symptomatic Groups When Infected with SARS-CoV-2 Delta Variant" there is no difference in viral load between vaccinated and unvaccinated people. We teach our children not to discriminate, but yet NYSSMA wants to discriminate against these same children. This is immoral and unacceptable.
4.) If you are an Erie County resident you may want to use this information. According to the Erie County Health Department, as reported by The Buffalo News, 43% of Covid-19 related deaths were in fully vaccinated people from July-Sept 2021. And, 40% of Covid-19 cases were fully vaccinated.
